Tata Harper Beauty Bar
The Upper East Side location of Exhale Spa has transformed a waiting room off of reception into a one-bed pop-up spa, featuring express treatments from a different beauty brand each season. First up is Tata Harper (tataharperskincare.com), whose luxe all-natural skin-care products are used in Exhale’s full-fledged treatments. Choose from a quartet of 15-minute services ($25 each), designed to quickly refresh a specific body part: face, eyes, hands and décolleté. Although all four areas follow a singular premise—cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize—and conclude with the application of a strawberry-scented lip treatment ($28), the neck and visage are treated most similarly, starting with the Regenerating Cleanser ($75), which gently sloughs off dead skin with apricot-seed kernels and is worked in using a Clarisonic electronic brush. Your paws will get slathered in the same pink-clay Resurfacing Mask ($55) before being placed in heated mitts redolent of Chinese herbs, while your peepers get massaged with Restorative Eye Crème ($90) using pressure-point techniques after steeped tea bags have sat on your lids for five minutes. The rejuvenating results should hold you over until your next proper spa visit. Exhale Spa, 980 Madison Ave between 76th and 77th Sts, second floor (212-561-6400, exhalespa.com). Through Dec 31.
