The iconic NYC artist pairs up with the equally iconic NYC store for its annual holiday collection—and yes, that means a Jay Z window display.

The seasonal creep seems to begin earlier and earlier every year—we saw pumpkin beer on shelves in early August, for God's sake—so of course we're already talking about Christmas. But with an event as cool as this, we're okay with it: WWD reported today that a rumored collaboration between Jay Z and Barneys on the store's annual holiday collection has been confirmed, and will launch on November 20.
This isn't the first time that Barneys has paired with a major cultural figure for its yearly holiday displays: Disney, Lady Gaga and Saturday Night Live have all crafted windows for the company in the past. This year's theme will be "A New York Holiday" (fitting for the "Empire State of Mind" rapper, we suppose), and will feature an in-store installation, products designed by Proenza Schouler and Balenciaga, and, yes, holiday windows. (No word yet on what those will include, but might we suggest a tiny Barclays Center, a model of Lucali, and wee little dolls of Blue Ivy and Beyoncé?)
