Trump Lasker Skating Rink
This Central Park rink tends to be less crowded than Wollman—and more hockey-focused. Go for a late-night whirl on Tuesdays or weekends. Central Park at 110th St and Lenox Ave (917-492-3856). Mon, Wed, Thu 10am--3:45pm; Tue 10am--3:30pm, 8--10pm; Fri 10am--5:15pm, 7--11pm; Sat 1--11pm; Sun 12:30--4:30pm. Through March 28. $6.50, skate rental $5.50.
The Pond at Bryant Park
Here you'll get stunning views of the city while you glide. The crowd swells after work, but thins out again post--8pm. Bryant Park, Sixth Ave between 40th and 42nd Sts (thepondatbryantpark.com). Mon--Thu, Sun 8am--10pm; Fri, Sat 8am--midnight. Through February 27. Free admission; skate rental $13.
The Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center

Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers
The Piers are open for adult skating classes Monday evenings, so you can brush up on your triple axels. Pier 61, W 23rd St at the Hudson River (212-336-6100, chelseapiers.com). Adult skate lessons Mondays 7--8:20pm, $36 per session, minimum registration four weeks; skate rental $8.

Skate in fresh air at Central Park. Friday nights feature dance music for extra-energized skating. Enter at 59th St and Central Park West (212-439-6900, wollmanskatingrink.com).
