It wouldn't be the end of the year without music mash-ups, film supercuts and round-ups from just about everyone. Never one to stay out of the fun, Google released a list of the 100 most-searched things of 2013. You can check it out by category, from books and beers to calorie searches and celeb pregnancies and everything in between—events, memes, TV show finales and famous Internet animals (naturally, Grumpy Cat emerged triumphant). There is even a hilarious list of the most frequent "What is…?" search terms, the most common question being, "What is twerking?" Ah, 2013—keeping it classy.
Google also created a heartwarming video to depict the year in review visually based on top trending searches. It's all there: Nelson Mandela's demise, the Boston Marathon, San Francisco's Bat Kid and the ubiquitous Harlem Shake.
