Red-panda cubs at the Prospect Park Zoo
It's been a good week for those of us who love looking at photos of ridiculously cute baby animals. (If you don't count yourself among that group…we worry about you. That's all.) First, the Bronx Zoo showed off its new snow-leopard cubs; then, the National Zoo in D.C. tested its baby tigers' ability to swim in perhaps the cutest way possible. And now, the Bronx and Prospect Park zoos have debuted their new litters of red-panda cubs.
Two separate sets of the copper-hued critters were born over the summer; two cubs live at the Prospect Park Zoo, and two more in the Bronx. They can be found clambering over trees and hanging out with their parents in the zoos' "Discovery Trail" and "Himalayan Highlands" exhibits, respectively.
