Commute changer, money saver, token killer
Wed Sep 24 2008
What’s the biggest thing that’s happened to the city in the past 13 years?
MetroCard: Me—I’ve saved you time, money and the annoyance of having to carry a hobo’s sack full of tokens every time you went downtown for a drink. Seriously, whose idea was that? Plus, every once in a while, I give you 18 minutes of downtime to reevaluate your life and purpose. No other public-transportation fare card does that.
