Time Out says

You can help build a fleet of 100 lanterns for the third annual Morningside Lights procession at this workshop, honoring Harlem artist Romare Bearden's 1977 Homer-inspired collage series "A Black Odyssey." Classes are run by artists Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles, the codirectors of Processional Arts Workshop, which is known for leading New York's Village Halloween Parade each year, the largest puppet-friendly parade in the United States. Workshops before Sep 22 are sold out. Please see site for details.
