They have really authentic pastries. My favorite is the galaktoboureko ($5). It’s a custard pie that’s doused with honey syrup; it gives me a fantastic sugar high.”
“My boys like to Rollerblade at the skate park at Astoria Park (19th St from Astoria Park South to Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, Queens; nycgovparks.org). We go a lot; I’ll bring a book or the paper and watch them. It’s right under the RFK Bridge, so it has great views of the city.”
