But nothing is confirmed thus far. Yet.

Lose a Motor City Bar, gain a Soho House? As some of the Lower East Side's longtime haunts (including Motor City and the Pink Pony) have announced they would close, reports surfaced this week that the schmancy Meatpacking District club was putting in a bid for the space at 139–141 Ludlow Street.
Today, Out reportedly got the scoop from a Soho House source on a potential Brooklyn outpost, but a spokesperson for the company wouldn't confirm either location: "At the moment Soho House doesn't have anything agreed for the site on Ludlow Street," she wrote in an e-mail. "We are constantly on the lookout for sites and opportunities for the group in many locations, including parts of New York."
Given the changes happening both in the LES and certain parts of Brooklyn—because we'd bet money that if Soho House goes anywhere in the borough, it'll be Williamsburg—it almost seems like a given that this sort of uberexclusive venue would pop up at some point. But is that a good thing? (We're in favor of dive bars with character over private clubs, but that's just us.)
