Music director Alan Gilbert leads the orchestra through Bruckner's massive, overwhelming Sympony No. 8 this week. The composer's final symphony is a full meal all on its own, though frequent Philharmonic guest Yefim Bronfman will also be on hand during this run of concerts; he'll be playing the soloist role in Bartok's Piano Concerto No. 3.
