Assuming the snowstorm doesn't ruin everyone's plans for the evening—and it might!—we strongly suggest that you head to the Music Hall of Williamsburg for Don Giovanni Records' annual showcase. The two-day event features performances from groups on the New Brunswick–based label, and the lineup is pretty great: Bands on the bill tonight include noise-rock duo Hilly Eye (the subject of an interview in this week's magazine), folkie Laura Stevenson and quirky singer-songwriter Jeffrey Lewis (whose tune "Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror" ended up on our list of the 100 best NYC songs). Tomorrow's bill is another doozy, with punk-rock trip Screaming Females headlining. (Necessary caveat: Be sure to check that the schedule hasn't been affected by the snow before setting out.)
