One thing to do Tuesday: Enter a cornhole tourney at Brooklyn Brewery
The Williamsburg brewer and Full Circle Bar cohost a beanbag-tossing championship. May the best cornholer win!
Tue Jan 29 2013
It's not totally surprising that things like Skee-Ball and bocce have become popular bar games: Pretty much all you have to do is take aim and throw a ball at your mark. Even if you don't do particularly well, it's hard to mess up the basics—which is especially important if you've downed a few beers.
Another game that falls into that category is cornhole, which—if you've never heard of it—is just tossing a small beanbag at a hole. Brush up on the basics tonight at the Brooklyn Brewery, where Five Hole Cornhole—a league started by the folks behind Full Circle Bar and Brewskee-Ball—hosts a monthly tourney. Prizes include beer (what else?) and $200 for the top team. Spectators get in for $5.
