A baby snow leopard debuts at the Bronx Zoo

Brace yourselves, people: The photos and video you are about to see are stupendously cute. The Bronx Zoo just released these images of a baby snow leopard that was born at the zoo in April; the male cub, who has yet to be named, will be on view with his mom in the zoo's "Himalayan Highlands" exhibit.

The playful little dude is the first cub born to Leo, a snow leopard who was rescued in Pakistan in 2006, and has been living at the Bronx Zoo ever since. The pairing was ideal, since the zoo has seen more snow-leopard births—more than 70 of the critters have been born there—than any other North American zoo. And since the animals remain endangered, the cub's birth is very good—and adorable—indeed.
