Remember that time Chicago froze over and the Internet exploded with pictures of bicycles that may as well have been ice sculptures? Don’t pack away your down jacket just yet. Just as East Coasters are beginning to recover from the arctic blast that rocked us earlier this month, Polar Vortex No. 2 will be paying an untimely visit.
Temperatures are expected to start falling Monday, and while it won’t be the life-threatening cold that we saw the first time around, it is expected to drop down to single digits by late January. Sorry for the bad news, New Yorkers. Stay warm!
