Post coital
A Web project wants you to share your fantasies-through the mail.
Thu Oct 4 2007
What’s the point of having a dirty secret if you can’t share it? That’s the thinking behind a new Web-based art project, Fantasy Confidential (fantasyconfidential.com). Based in Australia, the producers place postcards in public spots and ask folks to write and/or draw their fantasies (anonymously), and then mail them in. The collected results are posted online, and will be included in a future gallery show. (Check out recent submissions below.)
“Our project is not simply aimed at enhancing awareness of the common naughty thought,” says founder Jennifer Munro. “We hope that over time we’ll accumulate a grand collection of secret confessions that represent contemporary society.”
This week, TONY brings the project to New York. Look for free postcards in more than 30 venues throughout town, including the Museum of Sex, Babeland and the Delancey
