Run for Your Lives

The Tough Mudder race offers the scary prospect of sprinting through a field of live wires, but this 5K amps up the terror by adding zombie hordes as an obstacle, with the undead trying to grab a flag affixed to your waist. Among the 12 obstacles are a blood pit, maze and smokehouse, but if that sounds like too much, sign up to be part of the lurching mass. Post-race, everyone—survivors, the infected and zombies—get to celebrate at the booze-filled, deejayed Apocalypse Party.
