In February, the New York Aquarium announced that it would partially reopen this spring, following extensive renovations to repair the damage wrought by Hurricane Sandy. Today, the attraction confirmed a May 25 opening date. Yay! As we reported in February, only a few sections of the aquarium will be on view, including Glover's Reef and a brand-new sea lion show. But it's a wonderful step toward normalcy for the Coney Island institution, which was battered during Sandy.
