How did you spend New Year's Day 2014? If you were part of a group of hypothermia-immune crazies, you may have taken a dive in the Atlantic for the Coney Island Polar Bear Plunge. The annual event draws hundreds of sans-wetsuit swimmers for this freezing ritual. If by chance you were nursing your hangover indoors instead, we've scoured Instagram to show you the baddest photos of the badass event.
Scroll through for shots of New Yorkers braving the cold conditions: Girls in bikinis, a dude on a horse-headed bike and even a pair of newlyweds were among those joining the icy tradition to raise funds for Camp Sunshine, a nonprofit that supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
