Hallelujah for another sign of summer! The 2014 Northside Festival has announced its initial lineup. Phase one looks deliciously stacked, with acts like Sharon Van Etten, Titus Andronicus, Dan Croll and Courtney Barnett scheduled to play the June 12–15 fest, which takes place in venues around Williamsburg and Greenpoint. As in past years, the shindig concludes with two big free shows in McCarren Park that Saturday and Sunday; this year's acts have yet to be announced, but Solange and the Walkmen played last year, so you can bet it's gonna be good.
In addition to this lovely musical helping, Northside has a film portion, too, running June 16–19. Check out that lineup here. The festival, organized by The L and Brooklyn magazines, also hosts an Innovation component, whose speakers this year include Rent the Runway cofounder Jenny Fleiss, Vimeo's Kerry Trainor, Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson and plenty more folks you'll want to hear from.
Badges are on sale now, and you can also buy tickets for individual shows through each venue. Here's who's playing the 2014 Northside Festival lineup so far (more TBA):
JP and the Gilberts
Laura and Greg
Low Fat Getting High
Sharon Van Etten
Wild Nothing (DJ)
