You’ve gotta hand it to Emilia Clarke—she lands some pretty plum roles. The British actress broke onto the scene in HBO’s Game of Thrones as dragon-birthing, horselord-army-leading queen-in-training Daenerys Targaryen. Now, she’s making her Broadway debut in a new stage adaptation of Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s as the party-throwing, feelings-evading call girl Holly Golightly.
We’re less interested in the question of whether Clarke can fill Audrey Hepburn’s stylish pumps than how Holly stacks up to Dany. In some ways, they’re not so different: Both are resourceful ladies trying to climb the ranks in a man’s world, haunted by their pasts and the subject of gossip all over Manhattan and Westeros. And most importantly, they’re both ambitious as hell. To help you suss out the rest, we’ve broken down the differences between the socialite and the Khaleesi by category. Who do you think’s more hardcore? Cast your vote in the poll below.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s opens Mar 20 at the Cort Theatre; season three of Game of Thrones premieres Mar 31 on HBO.
