There’s more than one way to recount a tale, as evidenced by the variety of performers taking part in this all-day tribute to artists who explore the African-American experience. The lineup includes performance artist Charlotte Blake Alston, choreographer Camille A. Brown, National Poetry Slam champion Roger Bonair-Agard and rap pioneer Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels (of Run-D.M.C.), who will perform in concert with the Oscar-nominated Impact Repertory Theatre and jazz master Delfeayo Marsalis.
