STREET-CART CHEF
Mirna Armone (right) of Tacos Guicho (Roosevelt Ave at Gleane St, Jackson Heights, Queens). Tue--Thu 8am--11pm; Fri 7am--Mon 11pm.
SPECIALTY
Eight types of pork or beef tacos ($2 each), enjoyed by her Jackson Heights neighbors

RESTAURANT CHALLENGER
Tulcingo Restaurant (40-36 National St at 41st Ave, Corona, Queens; 718-639-8880). Carnitas and al pastor (roasted pork) tacos, topped with chopped cilantro, diced onions and salsa verde ($2.50 each)
VALUE
"They are not expensive. There is enough meat in both tacos," Armone says. "I would go there."
TASTE
"They're delicious. The meat is not dry at all. It is well cooked. Good sauce. Good tortilla. My carnitas are better. I cook them for four hours. I don't know how many hours they cook them, but they are good. They are soft. I recommend it."
