Doctor Who fans all over the world yesterday collectively geeked out over the announcement of the series's 12th Doctor: Scottish actor Peter Capaldi, who will replace Matt Smith when he vacates the post at the end of the year.
If you're not familiar with Capaldi, we highly suggest you check out his turn as the, uh, sharp-tongued political operative Malcolm Tucker in Armando Iannucci's series The Thick of It (and the subsequent film spin-off, In the Loop). His many uses of the f-word are truly a thing of beauty. (We sort of hope that "fuckity bye" becomes the Doctor's new catchphrase, à la "allons-y!")
Check out a compilation of some of Capaldi's best—and most vulgar—Malcolm Tucker moments below, as well as our Time Out London colleagues' peek at what the 12th Doctor might be like.
