First came the Well, from Knitting Factory veterans, and now the folks from Brooklyn Bowl are opening Our Wicked Lady, a forthcoming venue in Bushwick. As DNAinfo points out, the plan is to house and nurture several art forms by converting a warehouse at 153 Morgan Avenue (at Meserole Street) into a concert space, studios and band-practice rooms. If the only art you practice is that of drinking, don't worry—there will also be a bar and a 1,600-square-foot rooftop deck.
Our Wicked Lady is the second big, multi-use venue to come to Bushwick; though technically a bar, the Well also hosts multidisciplinary events such as DJ sets, live music and performances in its outdoor space (its adjoining concert venue, the Wick, has been in the works since 2011). Set to open in November, the new spot will further widen the hood's range beyond art galleries and indie venues to a serious music destination.
