Three-Day Rooftop Films Event at Brookfield Place

On July 24, stop by the Animation Block Party where you can go feel happily stoned while being totally sober since the animated shorts here will be nothing short of bizarre: like the film Papa about an inventor who decides to create the perfect father…to replace himself. Or the "Fart Baby" episode from Nickelodeon's Sanjay and Craig, which emphasizes the power of a good hot wing (because we all know stuff gets serious when hot wings are involved). Be sure to check out the party's quirky musical guests Franny & Zooey, who happen to have an animated video of their own: "Remember (Being Fake)." On July 25 local filmmakers will showcase their short films followed by a Q&A so you can pick their brilliant minds with all your curiosity. Finally, July 26 concludes the event series with the documentary feature film The Case of the Three-Sided Dream about jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk, who is known for calling jazz "black classical music."
