Funny lady Kristin Wiig is coming to town with an advance screening of her new flick Hateship Loveship. After the movie, the audience is in for a treat—she'll be doing an interview about the film and her hysterical career from Saturday Night Live to the big screen.
Over her long stint at SNL, Wiig became known for her hilarious over-the-top characters (the over-enthusiastic Target lady, the monster-child Gilly, and Kat from the sweater-wearing singing duo Garth and Kat) and for her spot-on impersonations (Michele Bachmann, Björk and Nancy Pelosi). Since leaving the late-night mainstay, however, the comedian has showed off her acting chops in guest spots on several TV series and in films such as The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Girl Most Likely. She even got an Oscar nod for her Bridesmaids screenplay, a flick she also starred in.
Hateship Loveship opens in theaters on April 11—but you can see it a day early at 92Y. The screening on April 10 features Wiig in conversation with director Liza Johnson, which will be moderated by Annette Insdorf. While all of the $15 tickets have been snatched up, seats are still available—and going fast—for $32 and up. Buy yours here.
