One of the coolest events happening this weekend is Red Bull Music Academy's celebration of DFA Records, the super-cool label started by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy that has released records from such artists as the Rapture, Holy Ghost! and YACHT. Tickets for the show—which will include performances by the Juan MacLean, Black Dice, the Crystal Ark and Murphy himself, among others—sold out almost instantaneously (no surprise there), but we've got good news for you: RBMA will release more tix for the event today at 2pm. Get your ticket-purchasing fingers ready now and follow this link at 2pm.
RBMA also produced "Too Old to Be New, Too New to Be Classic: 12 Years of DFA," a short documentary tracing the label's history, featuring interviews with Murphy, label manager Jonathan Galkin, past and current acts associated with the label, and even more. Check out the film, narrated by Marc Maron, below.
