Ticket alert: Vampire Weekend at Roseland Ballroom
After storming Coachella, the indie-rock crew will headline a small (for them, anyway) homecoming gig.

Vampire Weekend, who pounded out one of the best sets we caught at SXSW earlier this month, will play its first NYC show in a good two-and-a-half years this April. (Or we should say "official" or even—as annoying as it is to type this—"proper" gig: The local outfit performed an acoustic show at a Brooklyn Heights church in November to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.)
Tickets for April 28 home-turf concert at Roseland Ballroom, an intimate venue for VW these days, go on sale this Saturday at 10am. Listen to “Diane Young,” a cut from the band’s upcoming, Modern Vampires of the City (out May 14), below. And while you’re at it, check out the record’s cover art. Pretty killer.
