Most creative New Yorker

Jason Borbay, 29, artist (borbay.com), Upper East Side
"I spent six months on low-budget reality TV in Boston, was a stand-up comic for a year in the city and worked for Donald Trump, yet nothing beats being a full-time artist. The best way I can describe my style is architectural Impressionism. This city—the New York Post, the 6 train, Central Park—inspires me daily. People wait their whole lives to visit Gotham, so I consider it a great privilege to set up my easel and paint in the world's greatest metropolis."

Wendy Parr, 39; singer, songwriter and master voice teacher (wendyparr.com); West Village
"I wear several artistic hats—master SLS voice teacher for Regina Spektor and Nancy Sinatra; singer; songwriter (I cowrote 'Dreams on Fire' on the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack); composer; painter and photographer for fun; designing the tattoos that adorn my body—an artist through and through. I don't make a meal without it being a creative endeavor, and writing letters involves an inkwell, wax and a personal seal."

Hottest gay New Yorker

Matty Maggiacomo, 24; TV host-producer; Long Island City, Queens
"I graduated from NYU, where I started the first gay fraternity on campus called Delta Lambda Phi. During the week, I host and report for OurScene TV (ourscenetv.com), covering some of the hottest LGBT happenings in and around the city. On the weekends I host two popular gay parties: Club 57 at Providence and Kte at G Lounge. I also model and just have an amazing time enjoying this city that I will never leave. Oh, and I've also graced the cover of a Harlequin romance novel or two. Now that's pretty gay—and hot."

Ali Blank, 29, professional figure skater, Lower East Side
"I have embodied the 'hotness' of this city in so many ways: I'm a pro figure skater and teach ice-skating at Chelsea Piers. I was a Rangers ice girl, starred in the Radio City Rockettes show and traveled the world with Disney on Ice. I also graduated from FIT and created my own line of screen-printed apparel (ablankexpression.com). My proudest moment will be competing in the figure-skating events at the Gay Olympics in 2010 in Germany, where I will represent NYC—and bring home the gold!"

Most datable New Yorker

Samantha Driskill (left), 32, registered nurse, Financial District
"I'm a transplant from Alabama and I'm just a really open person who will try anything. I'm really girly but I love sports—I'm a huge football fan and I've started a growing love for the Yankees. I can cook like crazy, but it's all Southern food, so you'll have to appreciate fat—not on me, but in my food. I'm looking for a guy who's spontaneous and randomly likes to go on road trips, because I will drive upstate at the drop of a hat. And he has to like football, because on Saturdays during the fall, that's what I'm doing."

Alysse Alcroft (right), 22; actor and artist; Astoria, Queens
"I am the most datable New Yorker, ever. Why? I'm interested in women and men (my last relationship was with a woman). I moved to New York to pursue musical theater and I'm also an artist—long form of saying I'm a waiter. I'm half Japanese and half Scottish, yet I'm constantly cast as Latina. I have a smiley disposition and a good sense of humor. I'm looking for someone who's positive, liberal and kind, someone with a backbone and drive. That's all I ask!"

Best new arrival

Kurt Dyer (left), 29; program and operations manager, Public Allies New York; Greenpoint, Brooklyn
"I just arrived to New York about five months ago from Milwaukee, and I'm bringing my down-home Midwestern-ness to the fast-paced new life I've already come to love. I get to do amazing social-justice leadership work for an organization connected to Michelle Obama. Every Tuesday is 'Topless Tuesdays' on my blog (dyertimes.com). I have a heart-on for roller-derby queen Suzy Hotrod. And my dodgeball squad, Team Eagle, can beat up yours."

Chad Wise (right), 34; Starbucks barista; Williamsburg, Brooklyn
"I have so many New York--themed tattoos that some of my friends back home thought I was originally from NYC. It's always been a dream of mine to live here, so I finally moved from Denver in August. I've already made some great friends and my sense of humor keeps everyone I've met so far laughing and always with a smile. One of my regular customers, who works for Good Day New York, even made a comment that she could see me with my own talk show."
