Finally, the time has come—the Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival kicks off tonight, bringing free live music and dance to the Upper West Side institution's plaza. The 43rd season of the annual alfresco blowout runs until August 11, and acts tapped to perform include jazz icon Rubén Blades, Malian singer-guitarist Mamadou Kelly and Latin-flavored dance-party starters Ozomatli.

Tonight, hip local string ensemble the Kronos Quartet will be celebrating Fela Kuti with an all-star tribute: Red Hot + Fela (7:30pm at Damrosch Park). Can't make it? Tune in to the Afrobeat grooves (and every other festival performance this summer) via Lincoln Center's Out of Doors festival live stream. The new video portal, which launched today, also features content archived from Lincoln Center's illustrious history, such as artist interviews, performance streams and videos about upcoming events.
