Yesterday was #MuseumSelfie Day, a Twitter event in which organizers cunningly harnessed the power of the selfie to raise awareness for hallowed art institutions. While one might wonder why the digital fun was scheduled for a weekday when most art lovers were trapped at work, the more important question is: Can we see the best selfies of the day?
Naturally, Jay Z wins, even the shot above wasn't meant strictly for #MuseumSelfie Day (h/t Complex, image by kodaklens). Enjoy our pick of the litter from mere mortals, from the Guggenheim to the Met to museums much farther afloat.
