Description

This moderate-size venue may not be the best place to see a show: The security staff can be a pain, the sound is often crummy, drinks are insanely expensive, and if you get stuck upstairs, the stage may seem miles away. But top acts come through as well: Franz Ferdinand has tackled the mighty Ballroom, and the reconstituted Guns N’ Roses played a stretch of dates here. This has also been a room of passage for local bands on the rise, like Interpol and the Strokes.
