The sumptuous interior of the converted salon of 30's railroad tycoon John W. Campbell is authentically old-timey to your eyes, if not your wallet. Commuters in smart suits, sipping single malt Scotch and fancy champagne, are transported to an era when outsized opulence meant 25-foot ceilings, walls painted with ornate Renaissance-inspired designs, and dark wood detailing in every corner. Step outside for a breath of fresh air on the terrace under the port-cochere on Vanderbilt Avenue, and you're surrounded by potted plants and signs of more recent times – placards exhorting “No Smoking.”

Want to feel like you have traveled back in time? This is the place to go, hidden in Grand Central Station The Campbell Apartment is where you go to have delicious drinks like the Prohibition Punch which is topped with some nice Moet Champagne. My favorite drink is the Flappers Delight (you can thank me later). Grab your girls or your hunny and make this a cute New York night out. The prices are not bad because they do not hold back on the alcohol, I will definitely be going back. @Franchesca S
