An 82-year-old theater with superb acoustics, Town Hall was conceived as the “people’s auditorium.” Its democratic bookings continue to keep that spirit alive. Summer is slow, but the fall season brings cabaret, folk and traditional-music artists from around the world (including many Persian and Indian talents), as well as a mix of pop artists such as Cat Power, Stereolab and Jamie Cullum.
