The Palais de Tokyo is one of the hippest destinations in the overwhelmingly staid 16th. The majestic neo-classical building has a stripped-back interior and stunning outdoor terrace overlooking the Seine. The Palais has hosted everything from contemporary art exhibits to haute couture fashion shows, but its bar still manages to put together quirky cocktails for €9. The Brazilian-themed Rio Bamako with cachaça, lime and ginger is particularly tempting. DJs play an eclectic mix from 10pm, but it really packs in a crowd at weekends. In summer, when the bar moves outside, the terrace throngs with beautiful people.
