It’s party time at the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles. From marriages to birthdays, via collective commemorations and dodgy family reunions, this exhibition invites young Brussels artists to interrogate the act of ‘celebrating’. On the programme: a broad selection (the theme being very flexible) of sculptures, installations, photos, videos and drawings, all connected one way or the other with the idea of festivity. It’s a good opportunity to discover the graphic universe of Hell’O Monsters, full of poetry and hybrid creatures, and the tragicomic videos of Hans Op de Beeck – corrosive critiques of the emptiness of some Western lifestyles.
