This brilliant festival showcasing young European photographers brims with talent every time it comes around. Le Centquatre in the 19th arrondissement hosts the show, and the 50 selected artists are beyond handy with a camera: some opt for poetic pictures, others for journalistic or artistic styles. Discover Epectase’s series of staged acrobatic shots, Catrine Val’s ethereal philosophical fictions, or Fabrice Fouillet’s dizzying, grandiose photographs of monuments. Don’t miss Christian Berthelot’s shocking yet beautiful investigative photographs of C-section babies, Swiss photographer Romain Mader’s tragicomic quest to find a wife, or Rita Puig-Serra Costa’s series of photographs devoted to honouring her mother’s memory. Small groupings of pictures by each artist give a kaleidoscopic portrait of an energetic, surprising and exciting new generation of work.
