50 things to do in Paris this summer<br />best bars in Paris

A show that shines, shivers and glows comes to the Grand Palais in spring, celebrating the conceptual and visual fireworks of ‘perceptual art’, which takes a malicious pleasure in confusing the viewer. Its philosophical complexity and optical variety encompass many whims of modern and contemporary art, and borrow freely from all styles and eras. From Bridget Riley to the sound and light installations of Julio le Parc, from the neon bars of Dan Flavin to the optical art of Victor Vasarely and from the obsessive dots of Yayoi Kusama to the mechanical sculptures of Jena Tinguely, this exhibition brings a century of creativity from all different perspectives together in a 4000 square metre exhibition space.
