You could say he's gone full circle. After two decades spent exploring seemingly every facet of contemporary dance, Kader Attou, leading light of French hip-hop, returns to his roots in the aptly named collective 'The Roots'. The elements are basic: a schoolyard, a record player, eleven men in suits and a burning desire to dance. The finished product is a sober, magisterial reflection on twenty years of breakdancing and popping by one of the masters in the field.
