With a name like O'Kubi Caffé you'd expect to see beefy Italian rugby men singing odes to testosterone while downing wine by the "cubi" (a 5-litre size plastic barrel). But O'Kubi is in fact a trendy, gay-friendly bar with lesbian tendencies - a winner for electro funk nights (performed by DJs in the vaulted basement) and after-work cocktails. If hunger strikes you can eat here too. The cheese and meat platters may add inches to your waistline, but they taste good, especially when washed down with a ‘petit rouge’ or two. There’s free wifi too - not as common in Paris’ bars as one would think. Closed Sunday and Monday.
