A hip young crowd gathers in this rock-oriented bar, which doubles as a sports bar during important football and rugby fixtures, and trebles as an internet café at other times. Ever-changing art exhibitions add interest to the walls, and live music once a month draws an indie crowd. Fancy falling in love? Stefan and his team put on one of the great nights for us. we'd done a lot of the paris cultural stuff and just wanted somewhere to let our hair down on a saturday night and meet people. Le sputnik was just perfect. These guys know how to have fun! Don't let anybody say Paris is not a good night out until they've been here. Bollocks to that, literally.

The Eiffel Tower just got uprooted. Sputnik's is now THE reason to go to Paris. Their bar staff are incredibly friendly but also superbly competent. We met Stefan, the boss here, and I'll be damned if there's a nicer man in France. The drinks flowed, the crowd was beautiful, and even the food was pretty good. Highly recommended.
