In a road where budget sleeps are fast metamorphosing into hip hotels, this young, funky place benefits from particularly welcoming staff. Each bedroom features an enormous blow-up of a Paris landmark covering the entire wall behind the bed, giving you the illusion that you are sleeping halfway up the Eiffel Tower, or on Bir-Hakim bridge as the métro speeds by (great for 'Last Tango in Paris' fans). Bathrooms are mundane in comparison, but things brighten up again in the light-flooded breakfast room, with pop art portraits and a reworked 1970s look.
