French ‘post-grunge’ (excuse the lame term) is going from strength to strength at the moment, churning out enough top-drawer bands to fill our hot list every week. Our pick of the crop this time round is the Limoges four-piece 7 Weeks, whose brilliant new album ‘Carnivora’ is surpassed only by their reputation for scorching live sets. Having cut their teeth opening for the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Placebo, they’ve since graduated to headlining position, bringing their muscular stoner rock-influenced sound to an ever-widening audience. Catch them alongside the no less interesting Loading Data, Noïd and Full Throttle Baby at Le Glazart this Wednesday.
