Time Out says
It’s not Biolay’s voice that’s the hook – you could classify him with other ‘singers who can’t sing’ like his friend Charlotte Gainsbourg – but rather his lyrics and gentle melodies, as seen on tracks like ‘Los Angeles’, ‘La Superbe’ and ‘Dans Paris’. If his latest album ‘Pourquoi tu pleures?’ passed largely unnoticed, the next, ‘Vengeance’ (a hint?) should get more attention, full as it is with duets with the likes of Vanessa Paradis, Orelsan and Carl Barât.
