A cracking little neighbourhood restaurant, Brindille promises a quiet, fuss-free meal out in the west Paris suburb of Boulogne-Billiancourt in the 16th. As soon as the sun’s out, the terrace fills with locals who know a good thing when they see one. Relaxing is a given at Brindille, where the almost-bare yellow walls and small dark wood tables give off a simple warmth matched by the staff. Service at Brindille is caring and careful. The kitchen scores tops marks for traditional French cooking - oven-roasted camembert, magret de canard, chocolate profiteroles - that tastes every bit as good as it looks. Just the ticket for a local candlelit dinner.
