Casa del Fox restaurant, club and disco in Paris among the grand boulevards near the Champs-Elysees is a great place for lunch or dinner, and also a terrific spot to host a party. The ground floor dining room is neo-baroque in rich colours with complex lines in the banquettes and sparkly lighting. Downstairs the colours and tones are the same, a more club-like ambience with fancy gilt frames and twinkling sconces, partly vaulted with exposed stone walls. The menu is inventive modern French in dishes like millefeuille of tomatoes and fresh goat cheese with pesto, veal t-bone with parmesan cream sauce and fresh pasta, fruit gratin with rose confiture. Thursday through Saturday you can join in the karaoke until the wee hours -- or actually quite large hours at the weekend when it's open til 5 am.
