  • They were kind enough to fit 4 of us in without a reservation. The food and service was wonderful.

  • The place was recommended by our lend lord as "pleasant French restaurant." The "pleasant" may be accepted, but cousin is rather international-European than "French." Entering the unmarked door is definitely aimed at provoking the feeling of belonging to the chosen elite. The staff is very friendly and immerses you into a warm and friendly atmosphere. The comfort is arguable: sharing the table for four where two out of four are supposed to lie on the matrass while the other two partners are sitting at the nice upright chairs near the low table is more exquisite than comfortable. The food is good but not anything breathtaking so the ratio of price to quality seems a bit high. One of the specials was good but not beyond the normal home-maid sweet-and-sour meet, the difference being that one real home-made never gives you heartburn. The one served had certainly had some chemical ingredients to provoke the effect. The manner of serving wines deserves special mentioning. Those marked as "half bottles" were served in unmarked bottles or carafes as if they were nothing but house wines. But the prices were a way above the quality. In short, the place may impress those who does not know Paris and does not know the real opportunities to be met, but those who seek more of great French cousin may have a better bet.
