Don Camilo restaurant and cabaret in the heart of Paris' Left Bank has been entertaining Parisiens with great comedy and music for more than fifty years. Considering its popularity, may it carry on for another fifty. This isn't the cabaret of feathers and spangles, but rather a high-end establishment with excellent cuisine and superb entertainment that has launched the careers of some of France's best-known talents. There's an air of elegance here, from the entrance on in. The three set menus raise the bar for other such establishments, with kir royale, foie gras, terrine of fruits de mer, fillet of beef, Norwegian omelette, champagne, water, coffee and whisky all included. Expect comics in French of course, observational and topical, imitators and beautiful singing in a show that delights you for two hours.
