Open from 7am to 2am, Dupont Café in Paris’ 1st arrondissement is a cool one-stop-shop of youthful French socialising. It’s not unusual for bright young things to rock up for a breakfast coffee only to find themselves still here, joining in a daiquiri tasting at supper time. Pleasure’s the plan at Dupont Café - hang outside on the large corner terrace on Boulevard Sebastopol, lounge inside on a Chesterfield - legs resting on a footstool. Or perch at the chic bar, shooting the philosophical breeze over a Martini or bière blonde and admiring the good looking crowd, many of them students. The kitchen sends out affordable traditional French dishes to suit all levels of hunger, like eggs mayonnaise, croque monsieur and the popular Dupont Café house burger.
