This ice cream truck is the real deal (though without the tinny jingle), distributing creative, gourmet ice cream cones that are a little bit different. So if you’ve had enough of the ubiquitous strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and pistachio, this is the truck to hunt down. Choose from strange and delightful flavours like the ‘Highway to Ale’ (flavoured with beer) the ‘Black Sugar Sex Magic’, a sorbet made with dark chocolate, wasabi and ginger, or the ‘Tunnel of Love’ with wood strawberries and Sansho berries. If you’re more about ice lollies, their Skimo came on sale this year: frozen sticks with clever flavours (we particularly liked ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, with absinthe and apple liqueur). The flavour fireworks are backed up by good practices, too – all the ingredients are fresh and come from the best producers.

The van is often parked in front of the Publicis Drugstore on the Champs-Elysées, but the best thing is to follow its route on the outfit’s Facebook page. Or if you really don’t want the truck experience, you can also pay €20 and pick up their pots on demand from several sales points: L’Artisan Lafayette (6 Rue Lafayette, 9th), Causses (55 Rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, 9th) and at Wanderlust (32 Quai d’Austerlitz, 13th).
